Business & Finance Division Corporate Information Centers (CIC) Section Breakfast - The Strategic Value of Strategic Planning Do you put off strategic planning because you can't find the time and mental space to focus on it? Is it a once-a-year exercise (if that)?

In a world where every information team needs to invest in and communicate its unique value at all times, having a practical strategic plan is essential. The trick is to create -- and act on -- a plan that directs your team's day-to-day activities and generates meaningful metrics for you and your stakeholders.
Join John Aubrey, Associate Director – Information Sciences/Business Intelligence at Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated, and Robin Neidorf, Director of Research at Jinfo Ltd., as they lead us in a discussion addressing the basic building blocks of successful strategic plans and best practices for their implementation.
Today's organizations and information environments are constantly shifting, which means we need to dedicate time regularly to iterative planning. This is a crucial exercise that benefits information teams of any size; build it into your operations for long-term resilience and success.
