Both SLA members and non-members are invited to submit.

The review and selection process will be managed by SLA member review committees organized by topic area. Selection results will be sent out to submitters by April 23.

Accepted poster authors will receive a discounted registration rate of $395 for the conference.* A discount code will be sent out following the selection process. At least one poster author must be registered for the conference in order to participate. If your poster is not accepted, the member early bird rate will still be available as this rate has been extended to May 13.

Posters will be displayed in an All SLA Poster Session** in the INFO-EXPO hall over 1-2 days. A 60 minute session will be scheduled for live presentations of posters and at least one author must participate in order to be eligible for awards. Posters will also be showcased online.

Attendees will vote on best overall poster as well as several sub-award categories. The winner for the best overall poster will receive a complimentary one-year SLA membership (a $220 value) for up to five authors.  Authors must be registered for the conference in order to receive the complimentary membership.

Guidelines for poster dimensions will be provided.

Submissions will be evaluated on the following criteria:

Clarity – The objectives of the research presented are clearly described.

Significance – The objectives of the research make a significant contribution to the library and information profession.

Methods – The methods used (including the design, implementation, and analysis) are appropriate to achieving the objectives of the research.

Presentation – The abstract is logical, interesting, clearly written, and free of grammatical or typographical errors.
