REGISTRATION RATES

Registration fees include over 100 education sessions; access to over 80 chapter and division events; Lunch in the INFO-EXPO Hall; and the Opening Reception.

*Non-Member full conference registration includes one (1) year of SLA Membership from the month of payment. Questions regarding membership can be sent to membership@sla.org.

GROUP REGISTRATION

Register three (3) or more people from the same company or organization and receive a group discount of 20%.
If you are registering SLA members, please be sure to have each person's member ID and user information. 
You must pay for the registrations at the time of registering. You are able to utilize multiple credit cards for the purchase. 

REGISTRATION CATEGORIES

  • Full Conference Registration
    Allows admission to non-ticketed education sessions, non-ticketed receptions, INFO-EXPO hall, and all General Sessions.
  • One-Day Registration
    Allows admission to non-ticketed education sessions, non-ticketed receptions, INFO-EXPO hall, and General Session for the day selected. Price is per day.
  • Buyers Pass (INFO-EXPO Hall Only)
    Allows admission to the INFO-EXPO only. No other conference programs, events, or activities are accessible with this type of registration. The pass is offered to buyers in industries relevant to libraries and information professionals, and not intended for unaffiliated merchants or vendors.
  • Presenter Full Conference Registration
    Allows admission to non-ticketed education sessions, non-ticketed receptions, INFO-EXPO hall, and all General Sessions. If you are a confirmed or potential presenter, please wait to register untilyou receive registration instructions in Spring 2020 from SLA Staff regarding presenter registrations. No refunds will be offered for those who register prematurely. 
  • Presenter Walk & Talk Registration
    Allows admission only to the education session in which you are speaking. If you are a confirmed or potential presenter, please wait to register until you receive registration instructions in Spring 2020 from SLA Staff regarding presenter registrations. No refunds will be offered for those who register prematurely. 
  • Exhibitor Comp. Full Conference
    Allows admission to non-ticketed education sessions, non-ticketed receptions, INFO-EXPO hall, and all General Sessions
  • Additional Exhibitor Full Conference
    Allows admission to non-ticketed education sessions, non-ticketed receptions, INFO-EXPO hall, and all General Sessions.

REGISTRATION POLICIES

REGISTRATION PAYMENT POLICY
The registration payment must be received in full before a registrant may attend the conference. All payments must be received no later than May 20, 2020 at the following address: SLA, P.O. Box 75338, Baltimore, MD 21275. Attendees whose payments are not received by May 20, 2020 must bring payment to the conference to complete registration.
Payment must be received in full by March 26, 2020 in order to qualify for the “Early Bird” rate.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
All registration cancellations are subject to a $100 cancellation administrative fee. Requests for refunds must be received via email (sla@mcievents.com) according to the dates indicated below:

  • Refund requests received by March 26, 2020 are eligible for a full refund, minus the $100 cancellation fee.
  • Refund requests received between March 27 and May 6, 2020 are eligible for a refund of 50% of the registration and applicable event fees, minus the $100 cancellation fee.
  • There will be no refunds for requests made May 7, 2020 or later.

HOTEL CHANGES/CANCELLATION POLICY
Changes and Cancellations can be made online by logging into your record or contacting housing at sla@mcievents.com until May 25, 2020. Contact the hotel directly for changes or cancellations on or after May 28, 2020. Your reservation must be canceled at least 72 hours before your check-in date to avoid a penalty of one night’s room rate plus tax.

We are available Monday - Friday,  9:00 AM - 6:00 PM ET. SLA will be closed starting at 3 PM on November 27 through 29, 2019.

ATTENDEES WITH DISABILITIES/SPECIAL NEEDS
If you did not include your ADA or special needs in the registration process, please email learning@sla.org by April 23, 2020. SLA will work to accommodate requests, however, we cannot make any guarantee special requests after the date above.

MOBILE APP
SLA is pleased to again offer conference attendees a mobile app to further enhance the interactive conference experience by connecting attendees, speakers, and exhibitors with the tap of a finger. Available prior to the conference the app will also enable conference attendees to create their own schedule of potential sessions to attend.

PHOTOGRAPHY/PRIVACY POLICY
By attending the SLA 2020 Annual Conference, you acknowledge that photographs and/or videos of you may be taken by our conference staff and/or photographers at any time. Furthermore, you grant SLA permission to use photographs and/or videos of your likeness in any type of media, including websites and print publications, without compensation or reward.

TICKETED EVENTS
Ticketed events registration for unit and caucus events will open in the spring of 2020. Please keep an eye out for news regarding ticketed events opening. If you registered during the 48-hour sale as a full conference attendee, you will receive a personalized code via email. 

VISA LETTER REQUESTS
If you require a Visa and a visa letter from SLA to attend the SLA 2020 Annual Conference, please take the following steps to request one from SLA Staff.

  1. Register for the 2020 Annual Conference.
  2. Email learning@sla.org with your visa letter request, a copy of your passport, and a letter from your employer/institution.

48-Hour Special
Those who registered as a Full Conference Attendee by 11:59 PM ET on Friday, November 22, 2019 and attended the SLA 2019 Annual Conference, will receive all ticketed events complimentary (a value of $240).* This includes receptions, tours, unit meetings and breakfasts, and more.
All full-conference registrations received within the first 48-hours were entered to win a complimentary hotel night in the SLA room block.
*The 48-hour offer is only available to full conference registrations received by November 22, 2019 at 11:59 pm ET. The offer does not include one-day, exhibitor, student, retired member, sponsor, buyers pass, speaker/presenter, comp, media, and volunteer registrations. You will receive an email with your personalized code to redeem this offer once ticketed events become available in Spring 2020.
