Conference Programming


SLA Community Gathering Options @ Conference

The Academic & Education Community will have a booth on Main Street during the MLA/SLA 2023 Annual Conference on Thursday (May 18th) and Friday (May 19th).  If you are interested in helping to staff the table for a shift, contact Tom Rink (rink@nsuok.edu).  Here are the available shifts:

  • Thursday, May 18  --  9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
  • Thursday, May 18  --  1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
  • Friday, May 19  --  9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
  • Friday, May 19  --  1:00 PM to 2:30 PM

Additionally, A&E will be holding informal breakfast and lunch gatherings.

Informal Breakfast Gathering

  • Thursday and Friday open breakfasts 

      • Breakfast is grab and go.

      • Exhibitors will have Sunrise Seminars happening at this time as well.

      • Communities are welcome to hold an informal gathering and we will designate a space to congregate. 

      • Note: This will not be a meeting room and will not have technology equipment available.  

    Informal Lunch Gathering

    • Wednesday Programed Event

      • Communities for SLA and MLA are all invited to gather at lunch on Wednesday in the ballroom and will have tables allocated for those who will have representatives there. 

    • Thursday and Friday 

      • Lunches are on your own, concessions available in the exhibit hall 

      • Programed Events: Poster sessions, exhibitor lunch & learns, and exhibit hall is open

      • Communities can use this time to informally gather as they choose and we can designate a space to congregate. 

      • Note: This will not be a meeting room and will not have technology equipment available.
