Education Libraries

Education Libraries is an electronic, refereed journal of the Special Libraries Association’s (SLA) Education Division.  It offers a forum for new and challenging ideas in education, and library and information science. It also explores the effect of new technologies on the library profession and library and information curriculum.

Manuscripts submitted for publication in Education Libraries should present research studies, descriptive narratives, or other thoughtful considerations of topics of interest to the education information professional. Manuscripts focusing on issues relevant to more general concerns either in the field of education or in the field of library and information science are also welcome provided they include a significant component specifically germane to education, libraries, and librarianship.

Education Libraries has been published continuously since its inaugural issue in Fall 1975. The journal’s mission is to contribute knowledge and understanding in the field of education and the role of education librarians. There is no other academic journal specifically devoted to the central issues in education librarianship

Education Libraries is indexed in ERIC, EBSCOhost’s Education Collection, and Library Literature. Instructions for contributors are available.
