Join SLA New England for a day at Yale University on Friday, July 21. We will tour several libraries, including the Beinecke Library, Sterling Memorial Library's Nave, and the Medical Library. Attendees are invited to finish their day after the program's conclusion at the Yale Art Gallery. At the Beinecke, we will see a 1,250-year-old print of Buddhist prayers from Japan, the earliest known printed text with reliable dating, alongside the Gutenberg Bible and John James Audubon's Birds of America. At Sterling Memorial Library, view the amazing architectural style and focal-point art alongside exhibits curated for Yale visitors. At the Medical Library, see how the old blends with the new as we move between the library's collection of brains that transformed tumor research and the library's spaces designed to meet the needs of today's future doctors of medicine.
