    Hello!

The SLA-MN community is excited to offer this 1-hour webinar "Reaching Readers: Intersectionality & Discoverability in Literary Databases" on April 29, 2022 at 12 PM CST.

    Description:
In February 2022, Katie Retterath Martin, Founder & CEO of OneShelf, conducted a survey to better understand how readers find and access books that represent their intersectional identities. Results from this survey were then used to study how several literary databases make their collections discoverable to readers through keyword searches and browsing capabilities. This presentation will highlight current issues regarding reader discoverability, gaps in subject accessibility, and how OneShelf's creation of community-informed subject headings will work to address these issues.

Registration is required to receive your unique Zoom link and reminders leading up to the webinar.

    Thank you!
