Roundtable on Disaster Preparedness

  • 1.  Roundtable on Disaster Preparedness

    Posted 11-01-2021 11:06
Whether from the COVID-19 pandemic, extreme weather, or natural disasters, libraries and information centers are facing an increase in work disruptions. These disruptions demonstrate the importance of having a business continuity plan on hand to guide the restoration and delivery of services during uncertain times.

Join SLA's Workplace Preparedness and Response Advisory Council (PREP) on November 10 at 1:00 p.m. (Eastern time ) for a roundtable discussion on the need for, and practical insights into how to develop, a business continuity plan for your library before the next work disruption occurs. The roundtable panel will feature library disaster planning and business continuity expert Guy Robertson, author of Disaster Planning for Special Libraries, and Miriam Childs, director of the Law Library of Louisiana. Join the conversation and get ready to take the first steps toward preparing your library.

You can register for the roundtable here SLA Learning Hub

It's not a question of if you will ever need to respond to some sort of disaster, but when.
