Amelia Chapman has more than 20 years of experience as an informal educator. Working in a range of science, history, art, and cultural museums, she has helped audiences of all ages learn from real objects and direct, hands-on experiences. Kay Ferrari has been employed at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) since 1980. In 2000, she became the Outreach Project Manager of Solar System Ambassadors (SSA), a volunteer public engagement program funded by NASA's Science Mission Directorate. Before joining SSA, Kay worked in JPL's Public Services Office where she coordinating JPL's Speakers Bureau and conducting tours. She also helped organize and staff special events, outside exhibits, adopt-a-school programs, guest operations, and regional academic bowl competitions. Among her awards are JPL Award for Excellence in 2001, NASA Exceptional Service Medal in 2006, and Astronomy Outreach's Outreach Award ("AstroOscar") in 2006.
