This is posted for Deb Hunt.  Her email is dhunt@information-edge.com

I do have a request that I am hoping you can put out to the brain trust that is the SCC: a friend and I are doing a road trip in a Travato van and one of our stops is the Academy of Motion Pictures Museum on Tuesday, January 18.

The rub is that the Travato van is 21' long by 12' high so it won't fit in the Museum garage. (It looks identical to the small Amazon delivery vans.)

I also called the Peterson Automotive Museum, but it won't work there either. (The parking garage is tall enough, but the van won't make the curves inside the structure.) The La Brea Tar Pits and Museum (and their parking) are closed the day we plan to be in town.

I have confirmed we can park (with valet parking) at the Beverly Center on La Cienega Blvd., but it's a 30-minute walk to the museum. We are walkers so that shouldn't be a problem, but I am wondering if any of the smart SCC members know of other options.

I have also looked at Parking.com and various parking apps, but cannot get the info needed.

Could you please share this info/question with the SCC members?

I know they are a smart bunch and the best guides ever.

    Thanks so much,

    Deb

    Hi Deb,

I suggest trying to park at the Farmer's Market parking lot at the corner of Fairfax and Third Street. It is next to the Beverly Grove which has a parking structure, while the Farmer's Market parking lot is in front of the Beverly Grove but not a structure but rather a flat black top parking lot. It would be a 10 minute walk heading south on Fairfax to get to the Academy Museum. I hope it helps and if you have any further questions feel free to contact me.

    Regards,
    Doris Helfer
