We're almost ready to open registration for SLA SoCal's 2019's Professional Development Day! This year, the event is in beautiful Rolling Hills Estates at the Peninsula Center Library. The presenters will address some cross-sections of disciplines in the information profession, from knowledge services, to archives preservation/accessibility, to records management, to emotional intelligence. The chapter is also offering reduced registration rates this year, and is holding the event on a Saturday for your traffic-avoidance convenience. Keep your eyes peeled for an official announcement once registration opens ... In the meantime, keep saving the date for 9/28, and enjoy the attached preview of what's in store.

I will be recruiting interns in Milwaukee that week and will be unable to join you. Have a great event!

"The visions we offer our children shape the future. It matters what those visions are. Often they become self-fulfilling prophecies. Dreams are maps."
