Since 1993 Southern California has offered the Gersten-Sternheim Scholarship. This year, the scholarship which was offered in the month of February, had an unprecedented 12 applicants.

Southern California congratulates the 2020 Gersten-Sternheim Scholarship award winners:

    Jessica Kim
    Sophie Le
    Keith Locantore
    Erica Miller
    Nadia Montenegro

This scholarship is awarded to permanent residents of California or Nevada enrolled in ALA accredited masters in library or information science programs.

Each of these students expresses a passion for special libraries and a desire to enrich the profession with their continued studies.  We believe this scholarship will aid in accomplishing the goal of completing their degree.  In addition, this year, we included a one year student membership to SLA for all applicants.

Look for the essays of the award winners to be published on the website soon.
