Hello, friends! Just a reminder to register for tomorrow's panel. SLA Southern California and San Diego have once again joined forces for a thought provoking (we hope!) event, this time about what "reopening" special libraries looks like in California. REGISTER NOW and join us at 11am tomorrow. Summary is below and full details here.

While you're in event-registration mode, why not also register for the SoCal Open Board meeting on Saturday, 9/12 at 1pm. We'd love to have you attend. This is a great way to get to know the Community leaders, and see how things like the reopening panel and other events come together. And also gain insight into the inner workings of the association. Member input is crucial for us to be able to create a valuable SLA experience for you - feel free to ask questions, make proposals, or just listen in:

    Hope to "see" you soon!

    "Reopening"* Special Libraries in California

    September 9, 2020 11:00 AM PDT

Brought to you by SLA Southern California and San Diego

We've been "Safer at Home" since March - how have special libraries continued to fulfill their missions? And what's next for providing service while also providing a safe work environment? What does "reopening" look like - on the ground - and what might it take to get there? In this event, we'll hear perspectives from three local librarians on how their special libraries are coping 6 months into a pandemic, and strategies they're using to address the many difficult questions we're all grappling to answer.
