I wanted to make you aware of resources put out by the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta where I am a reference librarian. These resources may be of interest to students studying economics, finance and general business.
Depending on where you are based, you may want to check the websites of the Federal Reserve Bank in your area. Each of the 12 Banks produces quality research on economic topics for their regions and cover national issues as well. You can also subscribe to their publications. A list of the Banks can be found at https://federalreserveonline.org/.
Here's a few from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, which covers Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, and portions of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
Economy Matters is an online publication featuring a broad range of insightful economic articles, news, and research. The publication also offers an engaging podcast, quizzes, bold original photography, videos, and more. It is posted in real-time and features several articles each month.
The Atlanta Fed's annual reports highlight the focus of the Atlanta Fed over the preceding year. They contain topical essays, dynamic charts, and videos and imagery, as well as links to the Bank's financial statements and lists of our current directors and officers. Annual reports have been online only since 2013, but many print versions are available online in PDF. Since 2015, the reports have been posted in Economy Matters.
In Policy Hub, researchers address issues of broad policy interest. Research centers coordinate their work and seek to influence policy discussions in areas including forecasting, fiscal policy, and macroeconomics (Center for Quantitative Economic Research); financial stability, innovation, and regulation (Center for Financial Innovation and Stability); human capital, labor markets, health, and education (Center for Human Capital Studies); and government-sponsored entity reform, mortgage markets, and affordable housing (Center for Housing and Policy).
The Atlanta Fed papers series present our scholarly research. Working Papers present the research of Atlanta Fed staff economists and visiting scholars, and Community and Economic Development discussion papers address topical issues in community development.
