Cindy Sheffield serves as the AlzPED Project Manager. Prior to joining the AlzPED team she worked in specialized libraries. Cindy started her career at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions (JHMI), Welch Medical Library. As Associate Director of Education Services at Welch, she led a program providing a variety health science literature classes and lecture series. Cindy has 15 years of expertise in Evidence-Based Medicine, Systematic Reviews, and finding and organizing literature. Cindy left Welch to establish a library from the ground up for the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasure Center (NBACC) in Frederick, Maryland. There she trained and served as an active member of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, while building a robust electronic and print library collection. From NBACC she moved on to provide consulting and training services, on systems integration, database management and information resources at the International Monetary Fund, the Intelligence Community, and the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases.
