The DC Community of the Special Libraries Association, in coordination with the King family, is hosting a Celebration of Library to remember and celebrate the contributions of our dear friend and colleague, R. James King, who passed away in March 2020. Please share this invitation with your communities and we welcome any and all to attend this virtual event.

His career spanned over 20 years and included time at the Naval Research Laboratory and the National Institutes of Health Library. James was a Fellow of the Special Libraries Association and served a term on the SLA Board of Directors as well as leading their IT Division, DC Chapter, and SLA's Technology Advisory Council. He was a phenomenal librarian, colleague and friend to many.
The event will take place via Zoom and is expected to last no more than an hour and a half. If you would like to speak during the event, please let me know and I will work with you to find an appropriate place in the program.
Thank you and I hope you can join us for this special event.
