    Assistant Project Manager– Library of Congress Worksite 

    Zimmerman Associates, Inc. is seeking a Library Assistant Project Manager for an opportunity located in Washington, D.C

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Plan and manage/supervise all or most aspects of a project when PM is not available, task, or site to include schedule, cost, personnel, and/or technical performance to achieve contract/task requirements and performance standards in a production-oriented, labor-intensive environment.
    • Develop, analyze, and review statistical workload data and assign staffing resources to complete work on-time and within acceptable quality standards.
    • Coordinate project activities with project staff and clients, develop/execute plans for special projects, respond to client inquiries, develop written reports, and present oral briefings.
    • Serve as a liaison with the Project Manager and manage the project when they are out and interact effectively with the government as well as the staff members.
    • Additional Librarian/Cataloger tasks when required.

    Position requirements:

    • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a major research library
    • One (1) year of experience working with an integrated library system
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience supervising a staff of 20+ employees, including production projects, in a major research library of 1 million+ volumes 
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Quality Assurance
    • Experience compiling statistical data to produce daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports of work reviewed
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including both written and oral communications.

    Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor's or an associate degree and/or management experience.
