I would suggest a different venue. An SLA event should not be held on a Trump property.

The links included in our message clearly state

     (quote)

    Park Details

Founders Park was formally accepted by the city on January 17, 2006, and named in honor of the city's founders who led the effort to incorporate the City of Rancho Palos Verdes in 1973. This 5.5-acre parcel is located adjacent to the Trump National Clubhouse and offers patrons an attractive site with breath-taking ocean views, picnic tables, a gazebo, nearby restrooms, coastal access and adjacent walking and biking trails. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

    (unquote)

IMHO Using a picnic bench in a park owned by the city of Palos Verde adjacent to a Trump property does not signify support for a twice-indicted treasonous slimeball. For myself, I intend to blow a few raspberries towards the golf course to signify my disapproval for all that Trump represents.

Understood and good to know, but that was not clear without reading through the links and such.

I have another event that day and won't be able to attend anyway, but wanted to be sure of a non-affiliation of that person or provide any monetary gain for that family.

    The clarification is appreciated.

    Enjoy.

Count me in! This is one of the most beautiful parks anywhere, and I look forward to catching up with my SLA-SCC buds with amazing views of the sky above, Catalina beyond, and the tide pools below.

I'd recommend wearing closed toed shoes if you're interesting taking the trails down to the tide pools to explore. The walk isn't super strenuous, but it's not paved. The park itself requires no equipment other than what would make you comfortable outdoors on grass. Hope to see many of you on July 16th!
