The July 14th SLA/ACRL free webinar (at 1:30 pm EST) will focus on Christopher Clarke, who will share his study on academic institutional repositories.

Christopher Clarke currently serves as assistant professor and internship coordinator in the Department of Library Science at Southern Connecticut State University. He has over a decade of experience working in academic libraries in a variety of different roles. This summer he will be moving to a new position at the Bridwell Library at Southern Methodist University.

    Presentation description

In this webinar, Christopher Clarke will share some of the insights gained from a study conducted in collaboration with Dr. Hak Joon Kim on the deployment of institutional repositories in academic institutions in Connecticut. While past studies have concentrated on growth in the total number of repositories, none have looked at how the number of repositories in a particular region compares to those institutions without a repository. The primary purposes of this study were to find out how many colleges and universities in Connecticut have developed institutional repositories and how they have used these institutional repositories.
