Hi Everyone,
I'm leading an initiative at Sage Therapeutics which is investigating "presentation management software" for a knowledge management workstream.
Slide Decks (PowerPoints) are our enterprise assets. Literally every department at Sage creates them.
We'd like to centralize this scientific content for more efficient communications. It would be a single source of truth to aggregate data from many systems to a single location.
We're currently gathering requirements and the Slide Decks would contain searchable metadata (multiple fields, ideally) and could be tagged for ownership (person or function); have fuzzy logic searching; date and time stamping; expiration date after which content may become unavailable; notification if a slide changes; ability to store Word or other Microsoft Office files in addition to PowerPoints; security/firewalls for sensitive data; be intuitive so that we can minimize the need for system oversight.
We're aware of Alucio's Beacon and have scheduled a demo to see if it could meet our needs in this endeavor.
Am seeking your input if you've implemented enterprise-wide this type of knowledge management workstream and are using a specific product.
Thanks!
