The information and library profession has seen great changes over the last 40 years. Hear how the business information landscape has changed in this time. We will discuss the new 21st century renaissance of business information being provided across the UK in the Business & IP Centre. In the Business & IP Centre, Neil (recently retired) and Seema cover some of the programmes they are working to make business and intellectual property information more accessible for start-ups and the business community. We will also discuss how we are collaborating with other business champions, and information and library professionals to ensure that the BIPC Network is offering a collaborative and important library and information service to entrepreneurs across the UK.
This session is also the 'swan song' for Neil Infield as he begins his retirement. This is your opportunity to hear what have been the highlights (and lowlights) of his career? What would he have done differently if he had the chance? Where does he see future opportunities in the profession developing?
