Rachel G. Combs, MSLS, is Disability Accommodations Consultant at the University of Kentucky Disability Resource Center and part-time Instructor in the UK School of Information Science. Combs previously worked in academic libraries for 16 years, most of which were spent managing a library service desk and supervising and training a large staff of student workers. Combs previously served on the Project Advisory Committee for IMLS-funded program, Library Services to Patrons with Disabilities: A Problem-Based Learning Approach (2019-2021). Combs developed and teaches a LIS graduate special topics course titled, Disability and Access in Libraries.

This webinar will explore how academic libraries can better support students with ASD and create a more inclusive environment. We will examine ways in which to plan and implement services, spaces, resources, and policies with these library users in mind.
