We Here - (Book Launch) Knowledge Justice: Disrupting Library and Information Studies through Critic

When:  Mar 3, 2021 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM (ET)
Announcing as a book contributor and host of these events: We Here is privileged to announce we are hosting book launch events for Knowledge Justice: Disrupting Library and Information Studies through Critical Race Theory, (MIT Press, April 2021), edited by Sofia Leung and Jorge López-McKnight.
This is the first book-length text that utilizes Critical Race Theory in Library and Information Studies (LIS). With contributions from 29 people who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, scholars, educators, and practitioners, the foundational principles, values, and beliefs of LIS in the U.S. nation-state are challenged, while also imaging the possibilities for justice to be actualized in the now and beyond.
Events will take place March 3 (6:30p ET), March 29 (6p ET), and April 14 (5p ET). Learn more and register here: https://www.wehere.space/knowledge-justice
Note: Part one of the series has reached maximum capacity for a seat at the live webinar. We have opened registration for a YouTube livestream link for that event.
