SLA Engineering Library Student Award sponsored by SPIE Digital Library 

This award is for students enrolled in a curriculum of library or information science at least part time (two or more courses).

The award is $1200 which covers the cost of SLA 2022 Annual Conference registration and stipend of remaining amount for travel, lodging and related expenses.

The winner must be present at the Engineering Community Awards Event at the 2022 SLA Annual Conference to accept the award.

Deadline for Submission: April 30, 2022.

Qualifications:

  • The SLA Engineering Library Student Award sponsored by SPIE Digital Library will be given to the qualified student who submits a personal statement of up to 1000 words on how they believe this award will benefit them personally and professionally.
  • The winner of the award must be a SLA member in good standing by the time of the annual conference and the award presentation.

Submit your nomination by April 30, 2022.

Provide your name, address, telephone number, email address, name of your library/information school and statement to:

Notification:

Applicants will receive notification of award status within a month of the submission deadline. The award payment will be coordinated by SLA Headquarters staff.

The award recipient’s name will be posted to the Engineering Community's website.
