SLA Illinois Chapter Award Nominations are Now Open

The Illinois Chapter Board is pleased to open nominations for the 2019 chapter awards. Please join us in celebrating the accomplishments, contributions, and service of your fellow SLA members.

Nominations are now open for categories intended to celebrate librarians, information professionals, and students at every phase in their careers, from emerging leaders to longtime SLA members who have made significant contributions to the chapter and to the association as a whole.

Please nominate a colleague, boss, client, student, or yourself for any of the following awards. Submissions are simple: include the nominee's name and a short explanation (100-200 words) of why you are nominating them. Award recipients will be notified in early November and awards will be announced publicly and presented, along with commemorative plaques, at the chapter's holiday party on November 21.

Please email submissions to SLA IL President Rachel Cole by October 22.
