Featured Speakers
This year we are excited to feature two Walt Disney Imagineering speakers. Thursday's midday keynote speaker is Steven Vagnini, who will remember Dave Smith, Disney's first archivist, and Friday's midday keynote is Gary Landrum, with his ever-popular presentation, The Art of the Theme Show.
Hear how librarians help make Disney magic! The Disney librarian panel features AJ Johnson, Stacy Shoff, Becky Ballentine, Heather Paquette, Stephanie Reed, Debbie Mola, and others, discussing how they manage data, collections, videos and assets, provide research services, ensure safety, and work in materials resources, horticulture, and more.
James King, NIH Library's Branch Chief & Information Architect, will describe how using data can demonstrate value to your organization's stakeholders and improve services and collections
Robert Anstett, who
works with 3D printing, creative design, hands-on maker projects and robotics as C
oordinator of Digital Initiatives for Broward County Libraries, will provide insight into technology in the public library.
Xiying Mi, Jason Boczar, and Bonita Pollock, from the University of South Florida Libraries, will introduce Linked Data and its benefits, and share how they are developing a website to showcase oral histories in their Digital Collections.
Jelitza Rivera, English as a Second Language Specialist in the Orange County Library System, will discuss how facilitators and technology help communities transition into higher education and the workplace.
