SLA is currently accepting poster presentation submissions for the 2022 Annual Conference!The deadline to submit an abstract is Wednesday, May 25, at 5:00 pm ET. Submissions within any topic relevant to librarians and information professionals are welcome. Both SLA members and non-members are invited to submit. Accepted poster authors will receive a discounted registration rate for the conference ($400 in-person or $180 virtual).
Posters will be electronic again this year and we will hold poster viewing sessions in person at the conference but there will not be a need to create a physical poster.
Submission Guidelines and Review Criteria
Abstracts should include the objective or research question, if applicable. Posters may be research-based, or feature case studies, best practices, and more! The description must be substantial enough to provide the review committee with sufficient information to determine what your poster is about.
Including the abstract on your poster is not recommended, as the poster should be a succinct description of your work. Writing a good abstract, however, is an important step in having your poster accepted. An abstract can also serve as an outline for your poster, which can be thought of as an illustrated abstract. The review and selection process will be managed by SLA member review committees organized by topic area. Applicants will be notified of their application status in early June.
