I'm proud of our association's efforts to enable participation in and access to events and conferences, and that's why I'm such a firm supporter of awards like the Illinois Community's annual travel stipend. This is a reminder that the submission deadline is approaching: get your application in by March 13! Details are below and, as always, please get in touch if you have any questions. We are offering one $1000 award to subsidize attendance by an SLA Illinois Community member for the SLA 2020 Annual Conference and INFO-EXPO in Charlotte, North Carolina, June 6-9, 2020.
The deadline to apply is March 13, 2020, and applicants will be notified of the committee's decision by March 20, 2020.
One stipend will be awarded to an SLA Illinois member. The award will be based on the merit of the applications received, with the committee making the final determination. This stipend may be used for reimbursing conference registration, travel and/or hotel expenses.
