    Hi everyone,

If you don't mind indulging me here, I'm really pleased to share that the 2021 SLA Midwest Symposium was a big success! We ended up with 58 total registrants and the event itself was fun and exciting. I wanted to publicly thank so many of the people who made it possible.

First, thank you to all of the speakers and folks who contributed their knowledge. In the Midwest, we believe that we have a strong culture of ideas and innovation. I think that all of our wonderful speakers provided ample evidence for that belief.

I also wanted to highlight all of the planning team members who helped imagine and bring this event to life. They suffered through many Friday evening meetings, each of them refusing to complain:

    • David Bender
    • Conrad Bendixen
    • Rachel Cole
    • Ed Dunne
    • Marydee Ojala
    • Beth Sheehan
    • Kristin Stutzman
Last, but not least, I want to thank Sabine Schuller, SLA Illinois External Communications Chair, for providing excellent promotion and registration support. Sabine not only kept pushing the message, but she also helped refine the event in a way that made us all look good.

This is the second time that SLA Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Michigan have co-hosted this event. If you weren't able to join us this year, we hope that you'll be able to make it in 2022!
