Title: Breaking the White-ness of the Profession

Description: The library profession is more homogeneous than we like to admit. Why? What can each one of us do to change that, no matter what type of library we work in?

Bio: Jill Hurst-Wahl is a consultant, speaker, writer, researcher, and educator. She is a president of Hurst Associates, Ltd., which works with a broad range of organizations, and professor emerita in Syracuse University's School of Information Studies. Six fun facts about Jill: She cares about making the profession more diverse, prefers newspapers and magazines over books, listens to too many podcasts, has been a member of SLA since 1990, likes talking about copyright law too much, and enjoys flaming-hot hot sauces.
