Title: "It's A Small World: Networking in the Special Libraries."

Description: This session will contain real world, practical advice on how to seek mentorship and build connections with your peers. Joining a professional association is a good start (and an essential one) but what do you do after you've paid your dues? In this session, Jessica will share a bit about her journey in special librarianship and the connections that have helped her both professionally and personally.

Bio:  Jessica is a proud Kentuckian, from Jessamine county, who now lives in Seattle, WA. She is the Director of Library Services at Perkins Coie LLP, a law firm with 1200+ attorneys and offices throughout the US and China, and works with the greatest team ever (she's biased). She earned her Bachelors in English from Brigham Young University and her Masters in Library Science from the University of Kentucky. When she isn't working she's shopping for sneakers, eating pizza or watching Terminator II. Jessica has been a member of SLA since 2008 and considers it one of the key factors to her success.
