KYSLA Speaker Series—JonLuc Christensen

JonLuc  Christensen is a Records Management Specialist, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Liaison, and Information/Configuration Management Engineer (I/CME) for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). In addition, he provides project management and administrative support to the JPL Archives, on top of leadership roles in several committees related to: Records & Archives Integration, Diversity & Inclusion, Enterprise Content Management (Wiki’s), Marking & Handling, and more. 

He is a Lecturer at San Jose State University in the B.S. in Information Science and Data Analytics program and serves as the 2021 President for the SLA Southern California Chapter Executive Board, as well as the 2021 Chair of the SLA Recruitment Task Force. In 2020, SLA named him a James T. Matarazzo Rising Star. 

Christensen holds a Masters of Library and Information Science degree and an Advanced Certificate in Digital Assets Management and Services from San José State University’s (SJSU) School of Information (iSchool) and a Bachelor of Arts in History, with a minor in Anthropology from the California State University, Fullerton.
