Good Morning

I found out that distinguished attorney Ben Ferencz died on Friday 7 April 2023.

Ben was the chief and last surviving prosecutor at what has been called The Einsatzgruppen Trial at the end of the Second World War. After the war, he became a noted author on international criminal law and participated in several trials at the International Criminal Court.

A man of short stature, but a towering legal intellect, his work has stood the test of time. Any student of international criminal law must study Mr. Ferencz and his work. The NETFLIX documentary Prosecuting Evil should be required viewing for anyone interested in international justice or the history of the Second World War.

May his memory be a blessing.
