  • 1.  Looking for Recommendations and/or Suggestions for Electronic Resource Management Systems

    Hi All,

I'm at a mid to large sized law firm and I'm looking for something to help manage and display around 100 online resources. If you have anything you've used or heard of I'd be interested to hear it.

I've got 3 primary functions I'm looking for that I'm not always finding in the same product:

    1. Contract management. This includes primarily spending and renewal date tracking and notifications.
    2. User ID management. Mostly tracking who has accounts and how many open seats are available.
    3. User-centric patron interface. A user interface that can show the patrons only the resources they have access to.

So far we've reached out or are planning to reach out to TRG Screen, SirsiDynix, Lucidea, and Vizor (VIZOR - IT Asset Management &amp Chromebook Management Software). Vizor is not a library focused company so they would probably need to build us a custom user interface.

Any other suggestions or experiences with those companies would be good to hear.

    Thanks,
    Alex

    Hi All,

I responded to this on another forum but want to share with my SLA colleagues as well!

We've used Onelog at my current firm as well as my previous firm and have been very happy with them.  The parent company is ITS Ltd.  Since we use Quest from TRG, we looked at Research Monitor within the last year but decided to stick with Onelog due to their more intuitive interface, focus on customizable resource pages and competitive pricing. There wasn't enough of an upside to make it worth a switch.

    Warm regards, Jill
