As LMD heads into a new year, we are thrilled to introduce you to our leadership team! Today, we interviewed Anna Meyer, 2021 LMD Program Planning Committee Chair. Anna is our third board member interviewed. For her complete bio, please scroll to the end.
What is your current role in the workplace?I'm the Media Monitoring and Web Services Administrator for Enbridge Gas Inc., an Ontario-based natural gas utility.
Why or how did you become a librarian/info pro? I started my library career as a student assistant in our local public library at the age of 15 when the circulation librarian offered me an application. I visited the library on a weekly basis and took out a minimum of ten books each visit (I loved to read).
Tell us a little about your history with SLA and/or LMD and why you took a role on the LMD Board.
I’ve been an SLA member for 20 years and I was asked by the current president to participate.
What do you see as a key professional or organization challenge that you hope to address in 2021?Due to COVID 19, we’ll be moving to a virtual library and furthering our digitization efforts.
Finally, what's a little-known fact about you? My pet peeve is that I cannot stand cookbooks without pictures!
