R is an extensible, open-source language and computing environment for Windows, Macintosh, UNIX, and

Linux platforms. RStudio is a very popular way to create R scripts that interact with the R software. Using

R, analysts can create code that combines statistical approaches from many scientific disciplines to best

suit the analytical framework you need to analyze your data. R works on data of all shapes and sizes, and

the plotting functions of R allow you to produce high-quality graphics. This hands-on workshop is

designed to teach non-programmers to write modular code and to introduce best practices for using R for

data analysis. The workshop is divided into three topic areas: (1) Introduction to R and RStudio, (2)

Introduction to R Data Types, and (3) Data Visualization in R. These skills will help propel research

and your career forward.
