  • 1.  Request to Share Business Continuity Plans

    Greetings SLA Members,

     The SLA Workplace Preparedness & Response Advisory (PREP) Council needs your help! The council plans to develop a business continuity tool to assist libraries in developing plans to maintain services in the event of a disruption event. As such, we are interested in reviewing existing continuity plans in order to understand best practices. If your organization has a business continuity or emergency response plan, please consider sharing a copy with the council, if you are permitted to do so. Please direct your files to Stuart Hales at shales@sla.org and your questions to Eric Tans at tans@msu.edu.

    Hi all,

    This is a reminder that the PREP Council is collecting business continuity plans. If your library has a plan you are able to share, please send it along to either Stuart Hales (shales@sla.org) or myself (tans@msu.edu).

    We will analyze the plans to determine best practices to include in a business continuity planning guide to share with the SLA community.
