Please excuse cross postings!Posting 846986: The Michigan State University Libraries (MSUL) is seeking a Physical Sciences Librarian to serve as liaison to the Departments of Chemistry, Physics and Astronomy, including the community facing Abrams Planetarium; the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory and the U.S Department of Energy Office of Science supported Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB). As a member of the Sciences Team and reporting to the Sciences Coordinator, the Physical Sciences Librarian will collaborate with library colleagues and partner with liaison units in providing library support for research, teaching and learning. Physical science faculty at MSU are an innovative community of researchers and teachers both on campus and around the world. MSU's extensive opportunities for teaching and learning in the field have been enhanced with the recently opened STEM Teaching and Learning Facility, which emphasizes the importance of classroom and laboratory spaces for gateway science courses, including physical sciences. In support of these initiatives, the Libraries serves as a center of activity and engagement on campus, with librarians empowered to support both student development and transformative research activities. Questions should be referred to Eric Tans.
