MLC Chair Elect 2021

Greg Cina, Director, Library of the Marine Corps

Greg Cina is entering his 25th year in the information management field. He is currently the director of the Library of the Marine Corps. He began work for the Marine Corps in 2007 and has worked in a variety of information management capacities aboard Quantico—research library, special collections, archives, and records management. Before this, he worked for libraries at Virginia Commonwealth University, Ohef Sholom Temple, and The Mariners’ Museum. He has undergraduate degrees in history and English literature, and an MS Information Sciences from the University of Tennessee.
Mr. Cina is a qualified observer for the Process for Accreditation of Joint Education (PAJE) inspections of Professional Military Education (PME) institutions. He was part of the team that helped coordinate and host the 2019 Military Library Training Workshop.
His current areas of professional interest are effective communication of the value and best practices of libraries to DoD leadership and developing collections and services to anticipate needs of DoD PME students. His current areas of personal interest are cycling and teaching his daughter to parallel park.

Travis Ferrell, Reference Librarian, U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center
Travis Ferrell is the current Past Chair of the Military Libraries Community and a reference librarian at the U.S. Army War College. He was Chair of the 2017 Military Libraries Training Workshop, MLC's biennial conference. He has been an Army Librarian since 2009.

Annette Sheppard, Chief of Library Services, Air Force Research Laboratory
Annette Sheppard studied Classical Humanities and Modern Languages at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. During her time there she was selected as one of the first students to represent the university as student ambassadors for Japan and Brazil. In 1998, she received her MLIS from the University of South Carolina and worked as a Solo Health Sciences Librarian at Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA. In the summer of 2000, Annette began her career with the Air Force working as a Reference Librarian at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, and a year later, she began working for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) as a Contractor Cataloger Librarian. In 2006, Annette became a Government Special Collection Librarian at the D’Azzo Research Library at Wright-Patterson where she served until September of 2010 when she became the Lead Librarian. As the AFRL Lead Librarian, Annette was instrumental in the successful contractor to civilian in-sourcing transition for 10 library positions and single-handedly provided library service to approximately 3,000 patrons. For these extraordinary efforts, Annette received the Air Force Civilian Achievement Award. Today she is the Chief of Library Services at the AFRL.

Elizabeth Dubuisson, Head of Archives and Special Collections, Ike Skelton Combined Arms Research Library

Elizabeth Dubuisson has been an Army Librarian since 2004. She started as the Archives Librarian and is now the Head of Archives and Special Collections at the Ike Skelton Combined Arms Research Library.  She holds degrees in Computer Information Technology and History from Sterling College and a Masters in Library Science from Emporia State University. Ms. Dubuisson is a Certified Archivist and also has a Certificate in Preservation Management from Rutgers School of Communication and Information. She lives in a house Lincoln supposedly slept in, on his one and only trip to Kansas, and in her free time does home improvement projects with her husband and tries wear out her two dogs.
