Colleagues,    Of course you know....it's National Library Week!.  Remember when SLA celebrated Thursday of that week as Special Libraries Day?   If so, you've been an SLA member for awhile!   Below is some info from ALA President on NLW

"This morning, ALA released its 2021 State of America's Libraries Special Report: COVID-19. Please share with your communities and users, as the report is written with them in mind. It tells inspiring stories about how libraries of all types stepped up during the pandemic to continue serving and supporting their communities. I was honored to write the report's introduction, and I hope you will take a moment to read it. The report also includes the highly anticipated Top 10 Most Challenged Books of 2020."

There seems to be an International Special Librarians Day, April 16, 2021.  Huummm...more research.

As for National Poetry Month  - well there all kinds of "prompts" to help a person get started....

See below my original poem,  going off some prompts:  1.  Favorite color, 2  Favorite music, 3. Home town, 4. Imagine
So my favs were red, rock & roll, Indy, travel

          Red lights flashing
          Music booming
Sounds like race cars revving up
Take off - into the unknown - for adventuring
