    This library building is on the Historic Register and faces the Basic
    Training Graduation Parade Ground.  MCRD Library has been recently renovated
    and uses the Semper FindIt bookstore model of non-fiction classification.
    There is also a Youth Services Librarian on staff.

    Enjoy the beautiful year-round weather of San Diego and the beautiful
    beaches.  There are two other MCCS Libraries in San Diego County; MCAS
    Miramar Library and MCB Camp Pendleton Libraries also provide library
    services and programs to Marines, Sailors and their families.

    MCRD Library has a robust programming schedule throughout the year and
    welcomes the families of Marine recruits on Liberty Sundays.
    There is a dedicated Makerspace room and a large youth services programming
    space.

The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), Center for Library Science (CLS) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Acquisitions Librarian. Candidates with acquisitions experience in government, academic, or special libraries are encouraged to apply.

    This position will serve as an Acquisitions Librarian providing support in the management, coordination, and acquisition of information sources and data used by mission teams and offices for engagements.  This position serves as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and supports the Senior Acquisitions Librarian in making purchases of legal, business, news, financial and other information and data sources, completing complex acquisitions of information and data for the agency while meeting budgetary targets.
