    Colleagues, I promised six things however I am including a few interesting sub-topics.

    Spread the word, the Military Libraries Training Workshop 2019 (Dec 10-12 for Core Days), is a great professional development opportunity for those who work in military libraries, support the DoD Industrial Base or work in FFRDC's.  

    1. Registration is open for all at Military Libraries Training Workshop 2019   For those with FEDLINK Training Fund Accounts, MLTW 2019 Registration is open @ $300.00.  Contact Anne Harrison at FEDLINK

         2,  Reserve Hotel by Nov 21st - Reservations at the below per diem of $175.00 + taxes at the DoubleTree Hotel, 300 Army Navy Dr., Arlington, VA, includes free Wi-Fi in all rooms.

          ​3.​  To learn about MLTW 2019 Program - Schedule & Events:

    1. Special Programs/Events include:  a.)  Collecting new Books for -"Tots to Teens" as part of the USMC Toys for Tots Literacy Program b.)  Poster Day, Thursday, Dec 12   Submit a poster to show off a special program or process at your library Check for Poster Call at: c.)  Tour of the Library of the Marine Corps, Dec 13th, bus from DoubleTree Hotel, 7:45 am - 3 pm ( will stop at DCA on return from Quantico) d.)  Puzzles/Games with Dessert, Tuesday, Dec 11, 8:30-10 pm  with  Cup cakes to recognize 100 Years of Army MWR Libraries
    2. A showcase of 40 + Exhibitors, many with FEDLINK contracts, will be present to share their expertise on programs and processes in the Info/Expo, Lincoln Hall, DoubleTree Hotel, Dec 9-11, 2019.

          ​6.  Visitors Lunch:  Local library staffs from the DMV are invited to share a FREE lunch with MLTW attendees and visit with the Exhibitors.​ Dec 11, 2019 11:30 am - 1:30 pm. You might meet up with some military librarians you worked with previously!  And vice versa.
