Patron Computer Count - Statistics

  • 1.  Patron Computer Count - Statistics

    Posted 23 days ago
I would like to count the number of patrons signing into the computers, the hourly usage and the line of soldiers regularly waiting for a computer. I'm hoping we can justify an increase in computer stations versus our anecdotes which don't seem to have much of an impact. Based on our user population in this academic and command setting, we should have more computers available.

In this secured setting, NIPR access only, does anyone know of acceptable software utilized for such purposes? If not, would you share other successful methods of tracking patron counts at computers. We have a small staff, and are  unable to have someone sit on that side of the library monitoring computer usage.  Our computers are all on one side of the library, so there are no walls or doorways for controlled access.

We currently have a people counter with our Tech Logic RFID secured gates that patrons must pass through to enter the library.

Your participation and feedback are greatly appreciated,

    Nicole
