Hi Everyone -
Please join us via webinar for our next free Department of the Interior Library Park Ranger Speaker Series lecture, entitled "The Harry S Truman National Historic Site" on Tuesday, January 17th from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm ET.
The Harry S Truman National Historic Site preserves the longtime home of Harry S Truman, the 33rd president of the United States, as well as other properties associated with him in the Kansas City, Missouri metropolitan area. President Truman took America from its traditional isolationism into the age of international involvement. Despite the power he wielded as the President, he never forgot where he came from. Visitors can experience the surroundings Truman knew as a young man of modest ambition through his political career and final years as a former president. Please join Park Ranger Doug Richardson for a look back at the career of Harry S Truman and the home that offers intriguing insight into the life of the Truman family away from the public eye.
