    Hi Everyone -

I just wanted to send an e-mail to invite you and your staffs to participate via webinar in a free Department of the Interior Library Training Session entitled "Navigating the New Town Square: Cultivating Competency in Basic Online Legal Research" on Wednesday, August 17th from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm ET, part of our series of free training sessions available from the DOI Library.

For attorneys and for all individuals, our lives, professionally and privately, have expanded through the global power of the Internet. The vast amount of information available and the many different platforms to obtain that information have grown exponentially over the last 25 years. The many ways technology can aid attorneys and legal researchers in locating the best and most on point statutes, caselaw, secondary materials and all relevant materials can be overwhelming. The comments to the model rules of professional conduct governing attorneys state that to maintain competency a lawyer should keep abreast of the benefits and risks associated with relevant technology. The goal of this LexisNexis course is to assist attorneys and legal researchers in navigating online legal research, so they feel more confident and competent when researching subjects important to their work.

All that are interested are invited. Please go to the following link to request webinar registration information:
