The Minnesota Chapter of the Special Libraries Association (SLA) was founded in 1943 to share expertise and interests and to build a community to support the special librarians of Minnesota and the surrounding area. The chapter exists to provide these same opportunities and services to our members & partners.

  • Salon: News Alerting and Current Awareness

    Please join us for a   SLA-MN   salon to learn about   news alerting and current awareness . Attendees can learn more about these services by sharing their own experience or asking questions. Molly Dinneen will talk about the reader survey for her company’s daily news publication. Marilee Tuite will describe launching topic alerts at her organization. Everyone is welcome to attend SLA-MN salons, especially information professionals, students, and those interested in SLA. Please RSVP by Oct. 18 via the EventBrite link . (Registration is free but required so that we can reserve the right size table.)   Attendees will be responsible for their own food and drink orders.
