Susan (Sue) Wainscott is the Engineering Liaison Librarian for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) University Libraries. As liaison librarian to several departments at UNLV, she teaches information literacy for many students, provides reference assistance to the campus and community, and maintains the collection in assigned subject areas. Her current research interests include information literacy instruction and assessment, the impact of student affect on learning, data literacy, and data management planning.
Sue holds a Master of Library and Information Science from San Jose State University, School of Library and Information Science, a Master's degree in Biological Sciences from Illinois State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University. She has previously served as the Adaptive Management Coordinator for an Endangered Species Act compliance program for Clark County, Nevada, and as a Conservation Planner for The Nature Conservancy.
