As the year winds down, and we contemplate changes in the world and in our association,
the NJ SLA Advisory Board is in need of new members, particularly someone to serve as Community Secretary for 2023.
What do you need to be Secretary?
Enthusiasm;
A willingness to learn;
Attendance;
Something to take notes on!
And that's it! Secretary is a great way to learn the ins and outs of volunteer leadership, and to influence your community and SLA at large!
What is the Board? Who is on the Board?
A dynamic group of individuals who are dedicated to bringing quality programming, networking, and ideas to our membership.
In 2022, SLA NJ has accomplished the following:
Hosted a virtual open house for the membership
Brought minds from across the profession together for a successful State of the Job market event
Collaborated with East Coast Communities to host networking and social gatherings at SLA Annual in Charlotte
Hosted 3 successful Dine-Arounds in North Brunswick, Princeton, and Bedminster
Sponsored a great Data Librarianship event with Wind Cowles of Princeton University
