Flordalisa Lopez (a.k.a Lisa), President-elect/Diversity Committee Co-Chair
Flordalisa is the Senior Electronic Resources Analyst at Skadden. She has a B.A. in Art History from City University of New York Hunter College and a M.L.I.S from Palmer, Long Island University.
Flordalisa has been a member of SLA-NY chapter over 10 years. As part of the New York Community, she serves on the Advisory Board and is Co-Chair of the Diversity Committee since 2013. In 2014, she was awarded the Mergent Outstanding Achievement Award. Also, for SLA, she was the Secretary for the Legal Division, for 2 terms. Flordalisa also served on the board for Law Librarian Association of Greater New York (LLAGNY) and continues to serve as Co-Chair of the Membership Committee along with other colleagues from Tri-State area. Outside of work, she's an Independent Business Owner, loves to spend time with family, her Malti-poo, Lucky, and enjoys her free time doing different activities.
Clara Cabrera, Program Events Coordinator
Clara Cabrera is a Research & Reference Supervisor at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr [WilmerHale] in the New York office. Clara earned her MLIS from Pratt Institute and BA from Brooklyn College. Prior to getting her MLIS degree she worked in the financial publishing industry as a Publishing Associate for a niche value investing publication. As an active member of the SLA-NY chapter, Clara has organized various educational and social events since 2009 under various advisory committee titles.
Since 2013, she has served as the community's Diversity Co-Chair. Over the years Clara has been recognized for her efforts locally by the SLA-NY chapter, including the 2017 Dana Gordon Special Librarian of the Year Award. Clara has also worked with and has been recognized by SLA at the association's parent level. Clara was recognized by SLA at the beginning of her librarian career as a 2011 Rising Star award winner. Clara also served as a member of the 2015 SLA Diversity Leadership Development Program Committee, and chaired the 2017 SLA Diversity and Inclusion Task Force which launched a permanent Caucus - Diversity Inclusion Community Equity [DICE]. Clara is one of the co-conveners of DICE since its inception. Clara was also the recipient of the SLA Legal Division's 2017 Thomson Reuters Westlaw Award for Outstanding Achievement presented at the 2017 SLA Annual conference.

Christine Pelosi has been a member of SLA since 2012. She earned her MLIS from Pratt Institute and currently works as an Information Specialist at the 4A's, a trade association for advertising agencies. Previously, she held the role of SLA-NY Webmaster for three years. In 2021, Christine launched the new monthly event, Librarian Roundtable, to provide an opportunity for members to discuss current issues and trends in the field.
