2020 SLA-NY Awards

The SLA-NY Chapter Awards Committee is sending out a call for award nominations to recognize leadership and innovation within our community. These prestigious awards acknowledge some of the dedicated members of our profession who have provided outstanding contributions to our chapter and profession.

We will be accepting nominations for following awards:
Submissions should provide a brief bio of the nominee, contact information (email and/or phone number), a paragraph outlining why they should be considered, and any relevant supplementary material such as a website or LinkedIn profile. The Committee is accepting nominations and awards will be presented at an upcoming Chapter event in the spring.

The New York Chapter of the Special Libraries Association also welcomes applications from current and prospective chapter members for two Agnes Mattis Travel Awards to attend the SLA 2020 Conference, to be held October 15-19 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Two awards will be granted, one for an MLS/MLIS/MI student, the other for an SLA member at large. Each will be for $1500, to be used for conference registration, travel, or other expenses associated with conference attendance.

Please see below for a quick overview of each award. To nominate a member of the SLA-NY Chapter, please fill out the online nomination form.
